Reach out to your customers using SMS

TLDR; Reaching out to customers using SMS should not be that difficult. Keep your intent and messaging clear. Here is an example how.

Who does this apply to ?

If you run a business of any kind and you want to reach out to your customers, this applies to you. Let us take a restaurant for example.

Say you want to offer a 50% discount (!) to some customers on a particular day. How do you currently do it ? Email perhaps, or google ads. This could work, but I believe SMS is the best way. Its personal, instant and specific.

There are obviously many companies who abuse SMS, but that is a subject for a later date. The key is to keep the messaging very clear and intent specific.

Keep the offer simple

Here the offer is simple — 50% off, thats it. No conditions attached. Also make it simple to redeem, for example by clicking a link or by replying to it.

Could not be simpler.

I want to use this, what next ?

If you already have a website or app, and have the appetite to build this on your own, you can use a variety of APIs like Twilio etc to build this. Or you could use a CRM software to do this for you.
